The best barley of all grows on the Magdalen Islands. We harvest the windblown, salt-kissed grains and use them to concoct a malt with a maritime accent that gives our beers their unique character. Come to our microbrewery À l'Abri de la Tempête, relax by the sea shore and dip your lips in a brew as fine as spindrift.

"Bottle: Poured a slightly murky yellow color ale with a big foamy head with average retention. Aroma of salty malt and slightly funky yeast is intriguing to say the least. Taste is a mix between some salty malt with a funky yeasty finish kind of resembling a light saison. I’m not sure that the taste was intended that way and kind of wondered if it is slightly infected or past its due date. In any case, interesting beer from an interesting brewery."

"Bought at the Dépanneur À-Tout-Prix in Laval, Quebec. Date on label says bottled since March 2006. Pours a nice rich golden colour with slight amber-bronze in it. Its big head disappears quickly, but leaves a bit of lace. Average consistent carbonation and a small layer coats the brew. Some light flakes float around. The aromas are pleasant with fruits, caramel and grain cereals. Medium syrup mouthfeel with a crispy finish. The taste are the same elements of the aroma... good cereal presence with some light caramel and fruit. A better-than-the-macros lager and hope to taste more from this brewery."

"From les Îles-de-la Madeleine (tiny islands in the Atlantic 2hours by boat from Gaspésie aréa)beautiful islands to visit with maybe one of the finest sands in America...Now you can enjoy handcrafted beers froim that beautiful location, they even grow their barley on their windy island.Pours a gold colour, nice white head who fades rather quickly and leaves some lacing.Aroma of fresh cereal malt and hops.Full bodied, crisp with just right carbonation,a great malt flavor with a fantastic dry and bitter finish...A great brew made by people who cares about environment and a pledge to offer a product who reflects that philosophy.I wish them success and long life..."
