We soak 10 kilograms of Californian raisins in dark rum for a week and then we caramelize them inn a hot skillet and add them to the conditioning beer for 2 weeks. Ølfabrikken Belgian Brown Ale is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

"A deep red beer with a very thin tan head. The aroma is sweet yet lightly acidic at the same time with notes of berries, pine, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with a quite intense body hitting right away, though without giving away the 8% ABV, and then a complex mixture of wood, berries, caramel, and raisins kick in together with a slight tartness, leading to a dry woody finish."
