The beer is a fusion between the malted double bock from Bavaria and the roasted schwarzbier from northern Germany.

"Pours out in a hazy dark brown colour with ruby edges. Small but lasting off-white head. Malty sweet aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, yeast, acidic burnt malts and dated. medium to full-bodied with notes of toasted malts, yeast, sweet licorice and caramel with fruity undertones. long aftertaste of dark bread, yeast, salt, licorice and caramel. Quite nice but quite odd for being a bottom-fermented beer, particularly the yeastiness felt a bit misplaced."
