A rich and bitter-sweet strong Belgian ale made with barley malt, wheat malt, caramel syrup, muscovado sugar and a little bit of British chocolate malt for color. The hops are all German and provide bitterness and spiciness to balance the fruity yeast. This ale has been matured for a full 6 months before release, to integrate the powerful flavors. Ølfabrikken Quadrupel is of course unpasteurized, unfiltered and refermented in the keg and bottle like all of our beers

"Pours out in a cloudy dark amber colour with a small beige foam. Big bittersweet, and alcoholc aroma of dried fruit, blackberries, licorice, black pepper and alcohol. Full-bodied with strong notes of licorice, berries, spices, dades and alcohol with a surprisingly hoppy finish of dense grassy hops. Strong notes of spices, licorice, raspberries and alcohol. "
