DES ROCS TRIPLE IMPERIALE from Brasserie Des Rocs has a very dark color. The taste is fascinating, soft with enormous scale of flavors due to the several different types of barley used. This excellent and very elegant appetizer feels like it is made exclusively for kings and emperors.

"A very unique beer that is a cross between a Dubbel and a Tripel. A rust brown colored medium-bodied ale with a dark tan head that lingers. The aromas I noticed were caramel, raisins and burnt sugar while I tasted ripe fruit, port, raisins and alcohol on the palate."

"I had the Grand Cru last night, which was excellent, but I'd be hard pressed to pick a winner between that one and this one. This pours a reddish-brown color, with just a slight haze to it and a nice off-white head. Aroma is a lot of fruits, plums, cherries, figs as well as some candy sugar. The flavors are tangy and tart with yeast and lots of the same fruits in the aroma as well as a zesty floral presence. Nicely done. "

"I believe that Abbaye Des Rocs is a highly underrated brewer. This is merely another masterpiece from their brewing vats. The colour is a deep rich murky reddish brown colour that gives way to a thich, rocky, light brown head. The yeast is the powerful aroma charge here, followed by caramel, molasses, and some hops. The flavour is rich, full, and malty. There is a hint of hoppish bitterness."

"Pours out in a cloudy reddish brown colour, topped with a low white foam. Cherries, cumin, mild pepper, anise-seeds, leather and figs in the aroma. Figs, nutmeg, leather, black cherries and brown sugar in the flavour. Medium-bodied with a surprisingly light mouthfeel despite it’s strength. Long warming finish of dried oranges, cherries, milky chocolate and nutmeg. Quite tasty but I expected more from this one."
