"had this at a brewfest, and i need to remember not to bother with this one in the future. abita has a couple ok beers, but as a whole are pretty boring, asis this beer. standard aroma and taste for a wheat, but thin, and the flavor comes in small doses."

"A couple of Louisiana brews tonight courtesy of Suds McDuff, for the Pack versus the Saints. This light wheat beer pours a hazy lemon-yellow with a thick foamy white head. Light sour lemon scent with a thin and crisp mouthfeel. Mild wheat, lemon and honey flavors; not much happening here; almost as anemic as the Packers special teams coverage. Refreshing enough, but bland and listless. The game's been much more exciting... "

"Abita definitely has some interesting beers that are different from the rest. This is listed as an American wheat and it does say wheat on the label. Brown 12 oz short stubby bottle with a twist off cap. It pours somewhat like a wheat, with just a little haze. The color is a somewhat lemon yellow hue. Has a hint of aroma that is yeasty and somewhat wheaty in nature. The initial flavor is somewhat bitter, and is not much like other wheat flavors I am familiar with. It is more somewhat lager-like with hints of bitterness. Good carbonation with constantly rising bubbles that don’t really qualify as lacing. Finish is interesting, medium bitterness that fades rapidly. This beer wears the costume of a wheat but has the personality of a mild ale-like lager. I’ve tasted pale lagers that are more wheatlike than this. "

"This beer was fairly average for a american wheat, golden yellow body, and a thin white head, flavors of wheat and a little lemon, aftertaste very slight hint of honey. A decent but not outstanding beer."

"Aroma is malty sweet with some grainy nuiances as well as some lemon zest and spice with slight hints of milkiness and breadiness. Appearance is a golden color, more so like a blonde or cream ale, with some haze with a bubbly head on top that is well-carbonated and fuzzy and diminishes to a light lacing that is bleach-white in color. Mouthfeel is light-bodied with decent complexity as well as some balance with a palate that is crisp and clean but a tad boring. Flavor is lemon zest and grain with some malty sweetness with an aftertaste that is clean and not really wheaty with a finish that is light. Overall, interesting brew here and it is makred as a wheat but is labeled lager. I think we all can agree wheats are ales and, by the way, this screams cream or blonde ale which both imploy lager and ale yeast in the brewing process; decent brew but not worth buying a sixer."
