"I hate Christmas, but I'd like it to Christmas all year 'round if it meant I could drink this all the time. Had a couple of pints in Paris last week, at Kitty O'Shea's. The establishment was okay, but this beer was simply brilliant. Bad ambient lighting made it hard to rate the appearance, but the colour looked a hazy brownish orange beneath a fluffy white head. Aroma was inviting, with lots of spices, and not really a suggestion of the 9% ABV. Taste was every bit as good as the aroma, delicious is all I can say. Mouth and finish were very pleasing. "

"Noel poured a deep brown body with an heavy off white cap which left decent lace on my glass. Aroma of candied plums, raisins, and spices. flavor was similar to the aroma with caramel hints showing up. Nice and smooth, good mouthfeel. Overall it was better than i thought it would be, a pretty good beer thats worth a try. "

"Bottle courtesy of Indybigtom: Poured a cloudy lightly filtrated brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with some nice fruity ester. Taste is a mix between some sweet malt with some fruity ester and some dry fruits such as raisins. Full body with limited filtration and no apparent alcohol. I have to admit that this one was quite good and exceeded my expectations."

"Poured a brown cloudy color with good head and solid lacing. Aroma was full of dark fruits and spices. Flavor was much the same with some cocoa in there as well. Solid beer.

"Bottle (750ml) shared by bfeldmann. The pour was brownish, rather hazy, nice off-white full head, good retention and lacing. The aroma was wonderful spicey dark fruits, some cocoa, dubbel-like. The flavor followed the aroma, nice sweetness balanced by some yeastiness, relatively clean finish, spiciness perhaps underplayed for a Christmas beer, yet nicely balanced overall. Moderate body, airy feeling, slightly dry finish. A Belgian you'd be proud to sip on just about any occasion."
