"Wow, a train wreck of a "weizenbock" and a "barleywine" (what it was imo) that really wasn't up my alley. Go ahead, send me the hate beermails for this one, I don't care, but it was a disappointing AS product for me. The appearance was amber, some reddish hues, nice head with some sedimentation floaties at the bottom. So far so good until the strong honey and caramel aromas hit my nose, leaving me in great want of anything banana or spicey. The flavor was initially all honey (really strong), caramel (sickly sweet) and cookie dough, the latter which gave way to other sweet notes of vanilla, dates, and teabags as it warmed past 55F. Mouthfeel was sticky and cloying. Sorry to have killed (for the first time) and AS product, but if I was tasting this blind, it may have scored even lower? Bert, thanks a bunch for this opportunity, always fun trying something new and exciting, even if overhyped."

"Pours a beautiful orange with a rose hue. Thin white head but the carbonation is a wonderful string of pearls clinging to the side of the glass and rising in line. Nose is delicate with the scent of clove and cherries. First sip unfolds with a little sweetness balanced by just a touch of tartness. Definately taste the honey that is described. A little caramel to. Some fruit as well, cherries and apples. Mouthfeel is full and creamy. Alcohol shows only faintly in the finish."

"Medium orange color. Small head. Aroma is malty, caramel, honey and sweet. A medium to full bodied weisenbock. Malts are fruity and sweet, touched of caramel and toffee. Hops are slightly spicy. Very smooth. The malt sweetness dominates the flavors although out this beer, but in a very nice way. Very flavorful. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish si clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. "

"Hazy amber colored w/ a frothy white head. Nice aroma of honey & grapes. The body is thick on the tongue w/ a slightly sweet taste that has a crisp finish. Very complex, very nice."

"Not often I get to drink this style. The last I heard this hadn’t been brewed in a few years. The cork was a real pain in the ass, but what do you expect? Poured with a very effervescent head (which I didn’t see coming). Cloudy orange with mellow caramel and butterscotch aroma. Taste was mostly caramel with bananas and ripe peaches. It had a nice alcohol kick to it and was still very good."
