On one level Naturtrub means unfiltired, on another it is a distinct substyle of biers, including, but not limited to keller bier, which of course is cellar bier. The excample in question is straw yellow, and is brewed with 85% bottom fermenting yeast and 15% top fermenting yeast. This is a summer specialty bier, and is wonderful on a hot day, a very nice substitute for weiss bier. The bier leaves nice lacing in the glass, and has a tart flavor, and a fine finish of yeast and hops. There are many very nice naturtrub biers in the area, and this is one of the the most unusual. The local naturtrubs all have a sharp finish, and are all different in flavor due to the yeast that is still active in the bottles.

"Here is a combo between top and bottom fermenting yeast, that is a great sub for Weiss bier come Sommerziet. Tart and tasty, yeast dominates, with some hops on the finish. Cloudy and refreshing, it is a can't miss on a hot day. A unique seasonal brew.. "
