"This beer was a bad judgement choice. The bartender suggested it, said I would love it, and it fell far short of expectations. The taste was very watered down, and weak, and was very reminiscent of kool-aid or freshie. NO bite, no flavour. The aroma was weak too, an omen of what was to come."

"20 oz draught
??% ABV
I tried this beer on October 5, 2007 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto. The aroma was non-existent. The appearance was a dark brown with a fluffy tan-coloured head that lasted throughout. The mouthfeel was watery with no carbonation. The flavour had hints of tea, and not much else.

"Tried draft and bottled: A dry irish stout served on nitrogen engines...taps about the same as a Guinness except has a lighter color...even some red highlights. Same creamy brown cap and body...this is a tad sweeter with the introduction of some caramalts...hops attenuated a bit...a good effort and I like it better than Guinness on occasion....the caramel malt addition works sweetening up an otherwise dull dry stout. Bottled version should have its own rating as it is CO2 charged and the body and heading of the nitro draft is not there.

"Unlike it's dull and overly general name, this beer is quite the opposite and surpringly distinctive. Poured off tap with very decent retention and a soiled white coloured head. Nothing more than good enough in terms of aroma, but a rather unique makeup which was void of all typical and expected flavours (coffee, chocolat, etc) On the contrary, this beer tasted rather bold and independent from the too often familiar and common place Irish stout. This beer has a profile of its own. I can't say this paid off entirely, while points were gained for distinction none were really gained on taste, especially considering its vast competition of other tasty stouts. I'd say its certainly worth giving this beer a look -err taste. "
