Available only in the San Francisco Bay Area, while supplies last. "Bock beer," released in celebration of the arrival of spring, is an ancient and mysterious part of the brewing tradition. Over time, the term "bock" has come to mean a beer darker and stronger than the brewery¹s "regular" brew. This is the first time we have brewed a bock at Anchor Brewing Co., and we hope you will find it to be a rich and flavorful addition to our offerings. San Francisco's Anchor Bock Beer is virtually handmade by the brewers of Anchor Steam® Beer, in one of the most traditional small breweries in the world. It is brewed from a complex blend of the finest barley malts, wheat malts, and fresh whole hops.

"I can't believe i haven't tried this beer yet, Purchased recently on sale for 5.99 a sixer: Pours a dark reddish brown with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is very pleasent and enticing with it's lightly roasted malt character, pecans and milk chocolate. Mouthfeel is so soft and creamy- it's a completely differnt taste from what im used to in bocks. Flavors are sort of milk chocolatey and coffee notes."

"Smells a little hoppy yet malty with some candy. Friendly goat chewing on a hop branch. Good clean malty impact for the palate. Aromatic and volatile. Alky finish is a hanger onner.S4L4F2T4O10 "

"Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a creamy tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a bit nutty with some caramel, malt and sweetness. Very smooth but seems a little too sweet."

"This beer pours a very dark brown with a small tan ring that doubled as the head. The aroma was caramel malts, some sugar, and a mild hoppiness. The flavour is a little musky with some chocolaty malt coming before a hoppy finish. "
