"Aroma is very sweet and perfume like, almost a bit too much so. Deep gold colour, slightly cloudy, pure white head with average lacing. Mouthfeel is very very smooth, soft and silky, quite wonderful. Taste is enveloping, very sweet to start, moving to the Pineau and bready malt, and finishes suddenly with no lingering tastes. I liked it, but would have to be in the mood to have it again. "

"Another LCBO find. Characterized as a light dessert beer mixed with Cognac. Very light golden colour with fluffy white head. Very nice taste, very sweet with nice finish. Very sweet,but again Dessert beers are an acquired taste."

"Bottle: Poured a bright golden color ale with a nice big bubbly head with limited retention. Aroma is very sweet and almost disgustingly so. Taste is quite sweet with some Pineau characteristics. Interesting mix but I think I will keep on drinking my beer without Pineau and my Pineau without beer."

"Wow ! Just in at the LCBO, this beer mixed with Pineau des Charentes. As much as I like all type of alcohol, dessert wines are not in my tops. Still, I think this is a great idea (made in Cognac, France). Colour is golden clear with some rust in it. Very carbonated and head is creamy, huge, with good retention leaving wavy lacing. The nose is bready with a slight touch of perfume. Very smooth mouthfeel with just a pinch of stick to it. Sweet taste, but not as sweet as I thought this would be. Sweeter on the lips, than in the flavours. Some mild bread, honey and grains. Not much aftertaste, disappearing quickly. Overall, pretty interesting and worth trying for sure."

"Bottle from LCBO
Served at 48 deg.F there is no haze...just a crystal clear golden ale with a reasonable tight-pored white cap...moderate retention and lacing.
Very pungent aromas of carapils malt, light fruityness, some wet hay.
Up front this is relatively sweet... some from the bready malts, some from another adjunct source (this is the white Pineau I presume) there is some weak hopping to off set but it takes a back seat to the sweet malt and sweet fruit tastes which really develop mid palate. The finish is strangely drying and the mouth feel slick turning to sandy in the finish.
An interesting and unique beer, probably good instead of a fruit sprizer on a hot day or with cold buffet deserts...but certainly too sweet to consume more than 2 in a sitting by itself."
