"Pure hype. Man, I was disappointed after so many people told me this was a "must try". It wasn't nasty - bad, but certainly not worth what I had to fork out to get it."

"This pale lager pours a medium yellow gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is grassy and grainy, with a touch of floral hops. A medium bodied lager. The malts are grainy. The hops are spicy and a touch floral. Clean and crisp. Lively carbonation. It’s a decent lager, nothing bad about but also nothing that really stands out. Not that that’s a bad thing. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. "

"Pours a good heavy white head. Honey/gold in colour, but no bubbling.
Fruity nose, almost pineapple/green apple, touch of malty/caramel/honeycomb in there also.
Quite an interesting beer. Some toasty/biscuit notes up front, but follows down the tongue with some typical aussie hop flavours, but then finishes in a more "Noble" style.
Full palate... no hollowness. Finishes well.... crisp and not cloying. Bitterness is medium.
To this point I had not been overly impressed with Baron's offerings.... This, however, is a good beer. And at $12 a six-pack, the slab should be good value...
