This is a specially crafted rum porter. Rich, dark and warming, it is perfect for those cold evenings. Hints of rum mingle with coffee and vanilla flavours, a truly wonderful old style beer.
Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt, crystal malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, wheat malt. Challenger and Bramling Cross hops.

"Bottled. Black/deep ruby red colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is spices/herbs and some roasted malts. Flavour is hops, slight roast and some wooden sweetness. "

"Hazy dark brown. No head. Vague aroma of sweet coffee and dark fruit. Roasty full flavour of coffee beans, vanilla and dried plums. Small hints of rum. Salty finish. Tasty. "

"Bottle from Waitrose, Bath. Dark brown, almost opaque with no head. Aroma has fruit, malt, coffee and alcohol. Taste is sweet, liquorice and roasty. Medium to full bodied with a not entirely pleasant oiley mouthfeel."
