This beer was modeled after Fullers and Bass which are both classical examples of this English style, hence the name English. This beer is not bitter. It is very mild in hop bitterness compared to our I.P.A. or Red Rocket. It is medium in body and has a very noticeable malt character. The English grains are very modified which leaves yo with a full mouth feel but low in alchohol. UK East Kent Golding Hops are used for both aroma an bittering. Bronze Medal 1997 & 1998.

"Tasted at the Pizza Port Real Ale Fest 2004. Orange gold color. Medium head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied ESB. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. Nicely balanced. Mild tasting ESB that is very much in the English style. Soft and full carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. "
