"Thanks to zythum for this one. The aroma is pine hops, some caramel and it's a bit floral. Deep amber color with a medium sized head and some nice sticky lacing. Piney hoppy flavor with some citrus grapefruit and the malts, which are rye, of course, as well as caramel. Finishes bitter and dry but it's not an in your face bitterness and this is very drinkable. The 8% really doesn't show although the hop character gets richer and fuller the more it warms. This is a very good beer and thanks again zythum!"

"Review from a 22oz bomber that poured dark reddish brown, more of a result of the rye, I suspect. Aroma is astringent pine and grapefruit, with subtle alcohol undertones. Taste is fantastic. Bittering and floral hops explode at first and followed with the sweet rye malt. The hops offer a grapefruity taste that is sticky. Lemon peel and pine are noticeable thanks to the hops. The sweetness of the rye is a nice change of pace for an IPA. Mouthfeel is thin, but this is a quaffable IPA. This is one of my favorite IPA's, so I may be biased. "

"This brew poured dark copper color with a thick tan head and decent a lace. It's aroma is pine hops and caramel. The flavor malt with a pretty bitter pine hop flavor. A little too much alcohol and not very "rye"
otherwise, the flavor is quite enjoyable. "

"Brought to me by an American friend. The beer poured a dark reddish-brown colour with a minimal head. The aroma is caramel malts, florally hops, and rye. The flavour was reminiscent of many a dry beer. The hoppy bitterness provided a kick at the finish. Despite only being 7.5% ABV, I could taste the alcohol."

"Dark caramel color with orangish hue, thick tan cap, heavy lacing. Aroma was one of citrus almost floral, taste was similar to the smell, citrus almost piney & slightly spicey, but not too bitter, well balanced with the rye. Goes down smooth. Definitley worth a try."
