"The main thing that didn't like about this beer was its skunky smell. However, this was overcome by the taste, which I enjoyed. I don't know if the bottle I had was skunked or what, but after reading some of the reviews I see the same complaint."

"Skunky sweet aroma, deep ruby brown body with a very thin head, no laceing present. Flavor of malt and stong metallic notes, i think i got a bad batch, I probably wont drink the other one i got, i am not sure if i will finish whats in my glass."

"A nice clear brown, almost chocolate-dark and rather appetizing. Aroma is not strong but inviting, malty with a touch of apple or pear. Flavor is rather enjoyable, mainly malty with just a hint of hops, a whisper of sweetness, and some fruity taste. Finish is smooth and refreshing."

"My favorite dark lager. Very smooth taste with a nice finish. I actually like the flavor more in the bottle than from a tap. Also, this dark beer tastes much better cold than room temperature. "

"A brown, thick appearance with an ample tannish, frothy head that is sustained. Malts, chocolate, hops aroma with a hint of a zesty citrus. Flat but thickish mouth and decent caramelly malts and hops finish that is decently smooth. Drinkable, but not my favorite."
