A copper robe with a hint of gold. Mellow, with a refreshing bitterness, Belle Gueule Originale is bottom fermented and cold filtered… a lager of the highest distinction, brewed in the heart of Plateau Mont Royal.

"aroma is sour and yeasty. weird. taste reminds me of o.v. and is one beer i recommend drinking only whilst eating something spicy, as then the flavour really comes out. but then again, connosieurs have been saying to drink beer with food for years now. the above flavour rating is from sampling whike eating a beef patty. btw, belle gueule means blue eyes in french."

"Bottled....poured a gold hue with orange highlights...well carbonated, 1 finger white cap reduces quickly to a fine ring. Aromas of sweet roasted malt are understated... a whisp of grassy hops. Starts sharp... prickly carbonation of a macro goes a bit creamy when the malts kick in (munich?) -finishes clean with a slight bitterness and drying...not bad, better than the premium macros but certainly lacks the characteristics I like in a Vienna (if it is in fact a vienna) too dry, too pale, not enough malt presence and way too "fizzy"....I put this in a category with St. Andre...a Vienna wannabe that misses.

"Golden-amber in colour, this vienna has a foamy white head that does not last long. Hardly any lacing. The nose is a nice mix of sweet malt, roasted malt and hop bitterness. Taste is roughly a mix of what I listed as aromas, but very mild. Grain malt is maybe dominant. Should have more kick. Would be an awesome one."

"Gold amber brew with a medium head. Medium head with a small hopps taste. Nothing distinctive about this one. Used to have more characther then this in the past."
