Our dry hopped, fermenter conditioned IPA is brewed in the traditional IPA method. The result is an exceptionally well-balanced, flavourful ale; refined and subtle.

"I generally like India Pale Ales and this one is not exception. It's not a standout in the IPA community, nor is it a drainpour. The beer was a light gold colour in the glass, and the aroma was slightly hoppy and citrusy. The taste is not as perfumy as some other IPAs I have had lately, but that can be a plus. Iwould recommend this beer to friends, it has all the right ingredients."

"First thing I noticed on the label, is that it is only written Pale Ale and not India Pale Ale. Pours a clear golden-amber colour with a decent off-white head that leaves very nice lacing all-around. Not much carbonation. The nose is pretty nice with some bread and spices. The mouthfeel is a bit sticky. Grain malt is present in the taste with some mild bitterness in the finish. Now that they have changed the name from IPA to Pale Ale, this one is good."

"In my book, this is a light IPA which mean they been conservative with the concentration of hops. That being said, this is a great beer,a great pale ale actually in the pure english tradition.Nice pale copper, medium head and great lacing, little hop aroma, flavor is definitely fruity sweet.Easy to drink full bodied just the right carbonation... Don't expect the big hoppy american or québécoise IPA but a very goood pale ale or ESB if you want i highly recommend this beer."

"Note: Bottle sampled said IPA, not Pale India Pale ALe. Dark gold color. Medium head. Aroma is hoppy. A medium bodied IPA. Malty and hoppy. Somewhat juicy. Nicely balanced. A not to hoppy IPA. Grapefruit and citrus flavors are mild. More in the English style of IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter."

[5] Review by BigBry from Calgary, Canada who has tried this beer a couple times. (5/8/2005 10:58:18 AM)
"This beer pours a bronze/coppery color, white head that disappears quickly, leaving the slightest ring. Was really expecting something big from Big Rock, especially after label announces IPA. I wanted lots of hops in the smell and taste, but it just isn't there. The aroma is very light floral hops, but that was it. There is a bit more flavor than a regular lager with some bitterness. Reminds me of a Keith's IPA - quite bland for the style."
