Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double boch beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10deg and 12deg C

""Pick-A-Six" #3. Beer #1. Birra Moretti La Rossa. This is a descant beer. Hints of fruits and nuts. Nice aroma to it. Taste is a bit different than what I am used to but still good. May have again.

"Pours a dark amber/mahogany with traces of red and orange. Aroma of berries, citrus, light hops, and mild spices. Mouthfeel is on the thin side, although smooth. Flavors of burnt/roasted malts, grassiness, hops, citrus, mint, and spices."

"The deer pours into the glass with a translucent copper red body. A big tannish head sits on top. That head has good hang time, settling into a nice filmy lacing. Initial nose is sweet, but as the beer warmed I noticed the subtleness of floralness. The palate holds a decent amount of body with a sweet, alcohol taste. Not a bad beer. Think I'll open another."

"Sampled from bottle, it pours a dark reddish copper colour, which carries a fairly large tan head. Aroma is of grainy alcohol, heavily roasted malts, toffee and ripe fruit. Mouthfeel is full, creamy on the palate, flavor is noticeably chocolate infused with raisins, plums and pomegranate flavors."

"One does not always associate good beer with Italy, not even Italo-Canadians. Anyway, this beer pours a deep reddish brown colour with a tan coloured head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt, some molasses, and some figs. The flavour profile is mucg the same with caramel sweetness being rounded out by some frioty flavours before giving way to a dry hoppy finish. "
