"2005 Vintage, no expiry shown. Poured out a small whitish head that had some retention and leaves some spotty lacing. Kind of an orangy reddish brown - definetly not a colour that catches your eye. The aroma is totally different than the Lindemans I had two days ago. This one has it's raspberries but they are not oversweet or potent - they come across softer and do not seem fresh picked and some blackberries. There is also some leather and some other odd off-smelling odor. The taste is a very sharp, blunt, watery sourness - very sour indeed. The raspberry is there but the sourness has overpowered it. Very very tart. This is the total opposite of Lindemans. Short sour finish that does fade in strength. Wacky. I think I'll get another one that's younger and give it another shot."

"Small 375ml green bottle. Cork came out with a nice pop.
First thing we noticed was a vinegary smell fom the cork. Liquid pours a clear ruby red with two fingers of thick white and pinkinsh foam. The smell has some raspberry sweetness and lots of lambic-vinegar. The flavor has some raspberry fruit. More overpowering is the earthy yeast taste and the sour vinegar taste. Lots of carbonation with decent head retention and lots of little bubbles that continue to rise up from the bottom of the glass, other than that body seemed kind of thin.
This beer seemed kind of muddy - nothing really stood out - some earthiness, some sourness, some fruitiness, but nothing to make you say wow.
I didn’t really enjoy this beer, but that is a personal opinion. I know this is a true lambic (not the overly sweet, artificial fruit beers that others have labeled as 'lambic'. Good for the style, just not for me."

"Very pretty looking beer, dark opaque strawberry red, I was disappointed that zero head was produced not even a single bubble was floating on top of the beer however there was lots carbonation bubbling up from the bottom of the glass. The aroma was all natural smelling raspberries, very pleasant aroma however it was fairly mild, it could have been more aggressive for my liking. The taste reminded me of sparkling alcohol free fruit juice you give to your little cousins at Christmas. Mostly sour raspberries in the flavor that left a good tart after taste, this could have used more of a beer flavor for me almost no malt or yeast could be detected. Ok tasting, not artificial or insanely sweet but nothing I’ll ever go out of my way to try again."

"well... last review of the night... the beer pours a reddish raspberry color or menstrual blood color (if a little more syrupy.... YUMMM!) if you will... with a small off white head that vanished immediately!! the aroma of raspberry dominates the smell... i smell raspberry and thats pretty much it! the taste of sour(esk) raspberries are appearent as is some Newfoundland Black Berries (Newfoundland rules... dont even question that... and yes Newfie black berries are different then the black berries that the rest of the world consider black berries!!!!) the mouthfeel is what you would expect from a lambric/fruit beer... but it does leave the mouth a bit watery (sour characteristic) this is a enjoyable beer i must say... i would consider this one of the easier drinking lambric/ fruit beers out there... not to freakin sweet... oh yeah and the abv. on my bottle is 4.5% instead of the 6.2% mentioned above!!"

"Bottle, 04.08.2009: This one poured a burgundy red color with no head and lots of carbonation. Mouthfeel followed suite with strong carbonation. Aroma was off, some sort of rubbery type smell over raspberries. The flavor was definitely a bit funky, although not tart/sour overwhelming (definitely not one of the sugared up sweet fruit lambics). Some leather, some funk, lots of raspberry floral notes, and then the raspberry fruit underneath it all."
