"NorCal tasting July 07 - It'd been awhile since I had a lambic this fruity. Not nearly the level of Lindeman's syrupy mess, this had enough of a sweetness still left to keep the beginner happy and enough tart/dryness to keep the rest satisfied. Aroma was a jammy raspberry goodness with a bit of wood a clear signal of the funk to come. Appearance was a deep clear red with a pinkish foam, some bubbles floating to the top. Raspberries was the main ingredient in the taste but with enough cheeseyness to keep it all interesting. A tart/semi-dry finish but as I said, still keep enough sugars in the beer to keep the raspberry flavor strong. A really nice lambic that I hope to find again soon."

"This lambic pours a reddish brown color from a cork finished 375ml bottle. Medium sized pinkish white head. Aroma is raspberries with a slight touch of funk. A medium bodied fruit lambic. Malts are fruity and sweet. The raspberry flavors are semi sweet and very prevalent. This is a touch of tartness and funkiness, but most the raspberry and some malt flavors. Lively carbonation. There is a touch of honey at the finish. Perhaps a bit thin and watery. There is a touch of funk at the finish but it’s a little late and not strong enough. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet."

"Poured a ruby color with small head that left no lacing. Aroma was of wood and raspberries and some funk barnyard style. Flavor had the cheese/ rubber and citrus flavors to it. Good beer not to sweet not to sour. "

"Bottle, 25.01.2009: Color was burgundy with some orange hues, very thin initial head, not much but a ring around the edges after the first minutes. The lacing was non-existent. The aroma was raspberries with some barnyard funk and leather. The flavor was leather, funky cheese, light rubber, and some citrus. This was a pretty enjoyable beer, definitely funky, but the raspberry was assertive, far more assertive than Cantillon, not nearly as tart, but a distance behind the marketted syrup lambics that the other Belgians brewers produce. A great example of the fruit lambic style without overwhelming the unsuspecting with tart and funk, shock and awe.... yet not sugared up, either!"

"This poured a pretty ruby body topped with a good head. The aroma is full of fresh raspberries and a funky sourness. After my experience with the gueuze and kriek, I was surprised by how much sweeter this was. Still pretty tasty."
