The golden glow of Boréale Dorée comes from pale malt accented by a touch of roasted barley. Honey is fermented with the malt sugars, not to make the beer sweeter but to add crispness and silkiness to its mellow malt flavour.

"Golden body with a head that fizzles. A mellow maltiness balanced by the sweetness of the honey. The bread and honey aromas adds something unique to the beer but the maltiness and honey flavors do not last long on the palate."

"07.11.05 341ml bottle. Clear, pale golden. Nose is cereal, sweet grass, mineral effy. Sweet flavors, cheerios with sugar and skim milk. Plain, spritzy."

"Poured an orange golden color with a medium sized, white head that quickly diminished, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of vegetables, light citrus, sweet honey, and other malts. Taste begins with sweet honey, some cereal grains, with faint bitterness, and some metallic harshness in the finish."

"This honey ale pours a golden-amber colour. Like their other light beers, this one has a small head and hardly any retention and lacing. The nose is of grainy malt, bread and alcohol. Corn is also detected. The taste is bitter from start to finish and the corn kicks in the aftertaste. The honey is not really present, but probably calms the hop taste. Not a bad brew. Must be good around the BBQ. "
