Brewery Description:
Boston Breweries was founded in 1999. This was after extensive research into the type of brewery we were looking for and approximately 18 months of brewing experimentation on a much smaller, 100 litre system.
After considering systems from Europe, the U.S.A, Canada, China and South Africa, we decided on a South African company, XL Breweries, to supply the equipment. The choice was not the cheapest, however, the equipment was of a quality that was acceptable to us.
The brewery is situated in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town. This means we are close to an international airport for the importing of our hops and yeast, and also to our malted barley supply in Caledon.
