Bob's '47, our fall seasonal beer, is dark amber in color and medium- to full-bodied, with a malty flavor and well balanced hop character. With this Munich-style lager we at Boulevard honor brewers past and present for sustaining the brewing arts. We especially salute our late friend, Bob Werkowitch, Master Brewer and graduate of the US Brewer's Academy, Class of '47. Seasonal availability only in bottles from September through October. Ingredients: Pale, Munich, Carapils and aromatic malts. Magnum and Hallertau hops.

"Could be the best Boulevard beer I've tried so far (although I am looking forward to the double-wide IPA sitting in my fridge). Pours an amber color with a thin white head. Aroma and taste is sweet and malty with just a hint of hop bitterness. Very good oktoberfest style beer."

"It pours a deep amber body with a thin off white cap, medium carbonation. Aroma of sweet malts, slightly floral. Flavors of caramel malts on the initial taste finishing with a hop bite. Mouthfeel is rich and creamy but mild. Overall a pretty good beer."

"Clear, amber body, with a relatively thin, off-white head. Some lacing.
Inviting malt aroma, and there are also some hops lingering in the background.
Very nice blend of malts and hops. As with many in this style, the malts play a larger role in the initial taste, and then the hops show up to balance everything out. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, yet some malts cling to the tongue, as well.
The carbonation is a bit on the fizzy / light side, but it seeems to work well with this beer.
Arguably, this is Boulevard's best beer; an extremely fine example of the style. Yes, I think I'll have another. "

"Not so good. I've yet to find a Bolevard beer that I like. Maybe it's just personal preferance but evry boulevard that I have tried seems flat and tasteless. This beer is no exception. Pours a light tan with no head or aroma. Taste is FLAT. Very little going on here. Give these beers a try if you don't like carbination or flavor."

"Fabulous looking amber/orange with an of white head that quickly disapates. Full malt aroma with a touch of hops. The same can be said about the flavor. Nice bitterness, and a touch sweet. The carbonation dances across the palate, yet is not harsh at all. With out a doubt, the best Boulevard has to offer."
