Brøckhouse Old Ale is a strong, dark top fermented beer, which has been matured on cask for 9 months. Its brewed on pilsener malt, caramel malt, crystalmalt and black malt. Especially the last 2 gives the beer its smooth and light sweet malt flavour. The long maturing adds a note of sherry. Brøckhouse Ole Ale is moderately hopped with the English hops Northern Brewer and Fuggle, which contribute with a spiced, plummy aroma. Old Ale is best served on an autumn day, where its not to be served too cold.

"Clear brown appearance with a low compact white foam. Toated malts, almond and nuts in the weak aroma with a sourish undertone. Well-balanced if a bit flat flavour of nuts, light chocolate and roasted malts. Medium bitter bitter aftertaste of nuts. Decent ale which lacks some depth."
