As the name suggests, surprizes the palette with a rush of flavor achieved by adding authentic east Kent Golding hops during fermentation. Ambush ale with 6.0% alc./vol., is served through creamer taps to render an ultra smooth and creamy finish that is a favorite among discerning patrons. Ambush ale is available in four packs ( 4 x 500 ml ), one litre bottles and draft.

"This an orangy-gold beer which had a huge white head. The aroma was a mixture of roasted malt and citrusy hop tones. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with weak carbonation. The flavour was rather boring, some malty flavour up front with a weak kick of hops in the background. Not really an IPA, and certainly not much of an ambush!"

"Amber brew with a good ammount of unfilteredness, produced a huge off-white to tan head that has simmered to a skim and leaves some thin, messy lacing. Lacks in aroma but what is there is nice and mild for once. Floral hops with a touch of citrus, light biscuity and lighter caramel malts. A bit weak but from time to time it's a good change of pace from the hop bombs and the aroma here is decent enough. The taste is better now that it's warmer as the hops and their stiffness and weak pinyness comes out swinging. Zero grapefruit or other strong related citrus fruits that are so common. Some malt backbone...actually more than just some. Mouthfeel is thinner than I'm used to. Breathing in some harshness (good!). Finishes with a so-so bitter taste...but it's got legs. A good change up from a hop pounding. I'll get this again me thinks."

"Bottle (courtesy of Presario): Poured a light amber color ale with a medium white foamy head. Aroma of floral hops is clearly dominant and very enjoyable. Taste is quite sweet with nice citrus and floral notes and a light bitter finish. Body is a bit thin for the style. Overall, I would say this is a very refreshing IPA, kind of like a light DFH 60min."

"Served on tap at Brew Brothers. Pint glass arrived with a dark golden beer, and full white head. Strong smell of hops (like you expect from a true IPA), full, but not overpowering. Taste is a bit sweet, light malt and a finish of bitter hops. Extremely hoppy, but very nicely balanced. Full flavoured, easy to drink, thirst quenching."
