The idea comes straight from the island of Maui where fun and relaxation are a way of life. After shucking real coconuts, the meat was baked, combined with the sweet milk and added to our brew during fermentaion. The result is a tremendously smooth porter with a slight coconut sweetness and aroma.

"Booooooring beer.
Got me a dark, dark brown brew with a touch of red, small bubbly tan head and slippery, spotty lacing. The aroma was a let down due to the fact that it was so mild even after letting my glass sit for 45 minutes. All these are slight: toasted malts, coffee (early), sweet, coconut (I think), fruit. Remember, all very faint. I had a hell of a time with the aroma. What was there was incredibly faint but a bit interesting. The taste was good but too weak; early bitterness, sweet, chocolate. Much better warm. Just order one and let it sit while you drink another beer. The mouth feel was smooth as are all the Brewster's beers, mid sip sweetness and an interesting finish of slight chalk and soft but odd bitterness. Worthy of another shot to see if I can experience the coconut a bit more."
