Amber coloured with a mild fruity flavour and dry finish. Caramel accented malt flavours are balanced with a clean hop finish making this a truly smooth ale.

"Save your money.
Got me a glass of clear brown beer with the standard (but acceptable since the glass is filled to the max) Brewsters zero head. A swish does produce a small off-white crown. The aroma is of sweet, rich malts and some caramel but has an underlying unpleasant sourness. The taste is watered down with weak malts holding up the flavour. Feels empty and thin. My advice is to buy multiple pints, let them warm and then slam them back. Always keep at least 2 full pints on the table."

"Lanigan's is on sale weekly, so have had it a number of times, but this is the first time to actually sit down and review it.
Color is deep and dark, seems more brown thann red/amber. Arrived with a thin cap of beige head. Smell has some caramel malt and a touch of hop bitterness. As the glass warmed up, could even get a bit of roasted or chocolate. The flavor is qiute full of caramel malt. It finishes with some clean hoppiness, but personally wanted more 'bite' in the end. Little carbonation makes it smooth and creamy. An okay Irish Red, and works as a sessional for me."
