For over 500 years, the Benedictine monks of the Kloster Andechs monastery, in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, have dedicated themselves to brewing a superior beer. Brick takes pride in being the first brewery entrusted with this secret recipe. **This beer is now retired**

"I finally had to go to the Brick brewery to get one of these franchise-brewed Canadian Andechs’...they were sold out at the beer stores I went to... the brewer informed me it takes 2 months to make another batch. The pour revealed a nice clear golden lager...medium carbonation, tight 1 finger white head. Aromas of sour dough bread, sweet malts and german hops. Started with a mellow malt pronounced creamy body that balanced well with hop tartness.... finish was clean with lingering sour dough tastes. A very nice quaffable Dortmunder...I’d recommend this to any lager drinker...a very good representation of the helles style and a near perfect Canadian reproduction of the Kloister Andecher helles
