"This is the house lager at Kennedy's pub in St Agatha Ont. It's made specifically for Kennedy's by the Brick Brewery in Waterloo and is only available on tap at Kennedy's. There were a good variety of English draft (Smithwicks, bass etc) but this is the house brew they recommend be served with the Waterloo county German-Mennonite fare like cabbage rolls, sauerbraten, schnitzel or pig tails. It's a good (tasty)representation of a Canadian draft lager but it is not really hopped and lagered well enough to compare with the German product.
Tapped a dark straw color with a smallish white head that didn't stay long. Virtually no aroma of hops just a slight malt smell. Stared light and epervessant but not tart sits rather medium bodied on the tongue with a lot of malt and yeast accents, then finishes sweet with a malt after taste,
Not my first choice for a draught lager but not bad with the food served in this atmosphere, If you get to the Kitchener Waterloo area Kennedy is definitely on the rural pub craw circuit and worth the trip.

"This beer is rather watery, and while it's called "lager" it reminds me more of a pilsner, as it reminded me of Steam Whistle and King. Funny, though in taste, it has a wonderful bouquet."

"On tap: tapped a pale, slightly hazy straw color with soft carbonation. This produced a fluffy 2 finger head that took a while to reduce to a fine lace and ring….this alone tells me this is an all malt beer despite what its detractors presume. The brewer advertises there are no adjuncts or preservatives in Brick branded beers. The aroma was a good balance of sweet malts and slightly floral hops. Started with a medium body, pronounced caramel malt sweetness and dextrin malt firmness in fair balance with some average hop acidity and a slightly sour note, Finishes fast and clean with a slight bread after taste…not totally bland but certainly nothing stands out.
