Brooklyn Oktoberfest is a faithful rendition of the robust beer traditionally served at the world’s most famous beer festival. When Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria wanted to celebrate his wedding engagement in 1810, he did what any good Bavarian prince would - he threw a beer festival. This festival, now known as the Oktoberfest, featured a deep amber-red lager known as Märzen Bier, which was brewed in March, aged through the summer and served in the autumn. Brooklyn Oktoberfest is true to the original style, copper-colored, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness. We have an heirloom variety of barley malted specially for us in Germany to make this delicious beer. It’s especially great with sausages, chicken, steaks, pork chops and roasted meats. Of course, it’s also very nice by itself - with or without the oompah band.

"Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: It had a small creamy light tan head over a deep amber colored body with good clarity. The head fades quickly but hangs on till the last slip and make for some slick lacing on the way down the mug.
Smell: The aroma is sweet, candy like, with caramel notes and hint of bubble gum, toasted malt and mild hops.
Taste/Mouth feel: It has a sweet caramel toasted and bready malt with some light buttery and nutty notes. Hop flavor is mild and adds some spice and mild bitterness as well as a slight metallic touch. It has an easy drinking medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. The finish is sweet and clean.
Notes: Overall it's a very drinkable tasty Oktoberfest.

"Very solid malt hit int he nose followed by pine and pepper, very nice nose! A very reddish deep copper transparent body is topped off by a nice beige head of medium retention with moderate lace and a lovely skim coat. Mouth is medium bodied with a delayed sting and is nicely slick without cloying, carbonation is spot on. Flavor takes a moment to develop in the mouth, there is a strong malted back bone with a surprising amount of fruity notes, tart apple and deep fig, follows nicely bitter and finishes a tiny touch sweet, only negative is a slight chemical taste to the finish."

"This is the 1st I've stumbled across Brooklyn's Oktoberfest in about three years so I had no problem getting me a sixer. Solid example, I really like all aspects of this one. Hearty aroma of sweet malts, smells like fresh buttered biscuits and toffee. A touch green with a mellow hop nose in the background. Rich copper pour bordering on amber. Thick, fluffy tan head and good lacing. A steady amount of carbonation is ever present. Medium bodied and fairly malty, no major bitterness. Seems very well balanced and is easy to drink. Rich flavor of honey, toast, caramel, and mixed berries. A touch grassy and slightly dry. Fantastic beer for this setting."

"Pours out in a claer amber colour with a fluffy dissapearing off-white foma. Nutty and caramely aroma with sharp metallic and vegetal undertones. Malty flavour of nuts, caramel, biscuit, metal and toasted malts. Quite dry finish of toasted malts and spicy hops. "

"Color is a nice clear and appetizing amber. Aroma is strong and malty with a bit of a bite to it. Flavor is rich and malty with a hint of hops and bitterness, very satisfying and refreshing. This Oktoberfest beer is remarkably smooth and easy to drink - an excellent party brew.
Prosit!"
