Amber lager
With this beer you can celebrate the October Beer Fest throughout the year.
“Märzen” is a classic Bavarian beer.
This style of beer was earlier brewed in March and afterwards maturated in caves and mine shafts during the summer before being presented at the big October Fest.
Braunstein Amber Lager is a bottom fermented ”Märzen” containing a touch of American hops.
The lager has a warm light brown colour, influenced by a soft malt aroma and a crispy and clear finish.
The moderate bitterness and light cloudy foam make this dark golden lager an ideal choice for a lunch break or a well-earned break in the course of the day.
Brewed: All year
Should be enjoyed at: 6-8 degrees

"Pours out in a clear pale amber colour topped with a rich lasting white head. Mild or should I say weak aroma of some accents of caramel, butter with hay in the distance. Clean flavour which is clearly dominated by caramel, toffee, metal and subtle noble hops. Medium bodied with a very clean mouth feel. Caramel and fresh hay in the finish with a late bitter finish of grass. Way to streamlined and clean for my tastes. But not entirely bad...just a bit boring."

"Draught@SBWF2007. Deep golden colour, nice white creamy head. Aroma is apples, hops and some earthyness. Flavour is wellbalanced malts and hops with some slight fruity notes. Easy to drink. "

"500 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Amber colour, slightly hazy. Fizzy head, poor head retention. Nice hoppy aroma, notes of fruit and honey. Fizzy mouthfeel, which takes away some of the drinking pleasure for me. The flavour is reasonably well hopped, hints of caramel, butterscotch and yeast. Possibly a slightly infected bottle. Could have been better, could have been worse. Will try another bottle later."
