"How this ever got to be representative of American beer, I'll never know. It is pale, lacking in any character and must be full of adjuncts. If - big IF - it's ice cold, I can usually drink about a half of one, but it's just not good. "

"A picnic among friends and I bring some foreign lagers to sample. My snobbery is challenged by an American entry into the party. Granted a fair amount of people swear by this crap. But it is just that. This ‘King of Beers’ sets the standard by which everything else can only improve. Clear, urine colored. Plenty of carbonation. But the head is weak, soapy and disappears all to quickly. Corn and a metallic taste predominate. . "

"Extremely light lager style beer. The taste and color are very light. Very minor hop notes. That said - very refreshing, very smooth and very drinkable. Mass produced for the masses. Great for those days when you have a lot of small jobs to get done that really don't require much thinking or cooridination."

"Typical mass produced lager. Nothing offensive but there are better mass produced beers for the same price. I'm not really a lager fan, but for a something really cold in El Paso, Texas in July--it'll do."

"Who ever voted this as the King of Beers must have been totally shit faced or a smart ass. Man PBR, Miller, Old Milwaukee and even Busch have got this stuff beat. I'm sorry, I have friends that swear by it but I can't stand it. Guess if I was on a desserted Island I would drink it if it was all I had. BUT I'd be praying for a Pabst Blue Ribbon tanker to run aground."
