"750 ml "champagne" bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate head. Lovely vinous aroma with notes of oak, fruit and berries. The flavour is also pleasantly oaky and fruity, with a "refreshing" touch which is quite astonishing for a 13% ABV beer. Well, you get an idea that this is a strong beer, but not as strong as it actually is. It is not too sweet, and the aftertaste is moderately spicy. A great beer!"

"Orange colour, low disappearing head. Complex aroma of oranges, cognac, cherries, pine needles, alcohol and wood. Flavour of oranges, wood, marmalade, wood and alcohol. Thick mouthfeel. Long sweet aftertaste of honey, alcohol and wood. "

"Busted this out at Najas Place in Redondo Beach for my birthday treat to myself. Originally priced at $60, got $10 off for my b-day. Nice hazy auburn colored brew with a good sized head. Aroma of fruity malts and a bit of alcohol. Mouthfeel was full and rounded - almost chewy. Flavor was of peaches and apricots with a very nice malt backing. Alcohol was warming but not overpowering for 13%. Very good beer -> yes. Worth the cash -> no. But hey, it was my b-day."

"Hazy amber colour, big foamy/creamy head. Aroma is toffee, alcohol, oak and overall quite woody sweetness. Flavour is very much the same along with raisins and grapes. Totally awesome thing. "
