Brewery Description:
The notion of building a brewery on the North Adriatic coast dates back to the fifties.The first documents were written in 1958 to the order of the City Assembley of Rijeka. Afterwards, due to several problems, among which were the lack of funds, investment restrictions, changes in the system of investment financing, the building of the brewery was suspended for 10 years.
Seeking their way out of the underdevelopment, the city of Buzet, being the shortlisted location, was interested in the programme. “Buzet” was chosen having in mind the competitiveness of the location itself, the availability of the high-quality water, and hoping that the brewery would influence the development of the agricultural and the cuttle-raising production in Buzet area. By the end of 1975 the decision was final.
