This velvety soft ale is an Okanagan winner; Rich, dark malts, layered in a seamless manner, produce an amazingly smooth finish.

"Dark, dark ,dark brown body barely any light penetrates through when held up to the light. Just the tiniest skiff of bubbles was produced when pored into my glass. Fantastic aroma, dark roasted malts, smooth milk chocolate, hazel nuts, and maybe just a touch of coffee; very rich decadent smell. Creamy smooth taste dominated by chocolate, hazel nuts, a roasted malts it’s over all a sweet tasting beer that leaves a milk chocolate aftertaste. The mouth feel is full but maybe a touch flat. I was surprised by the non bitterness of this beer, its diffently what I would call a desert beer and reminded me more of a porter or a weak sweet stout then a brown ale, but I enjoyed it allot."

"Dark brown with dark orange and an average off-white head. Appeared quite clear. Yummy aroma of strong stinky coffee, sweaty feet. Sour. Flashbacks of dank basements. The smell gets even less appealing after it begins to warm. Tastes fake and plasic with peat moss. A soft watery chemical bitterness with a powerful harsh aftertaste. The bad beer breath compares only to Doritos Zezty Cheese in awfulness."

"(before i start...i must say that when opening the bottle there was no hint of carbonation...leading me to believe that it was tainted!!) anyways...pours a brown color (like flat coke) with absolutely 0 head... just like real life i couldnt get no head with it if i tried... flat as a 2x4... smell is of weak roasted malts... taste is of weak malts with 0 aftertaste... not a good brew... could be because the bottle was tainted... i'll re-review this later when i get a newer bottle (if i get a newer bottle that is!!)out of 5 mehs this gets a whopping 1.33 (repeating of course) mehs..."

"Was able to sample this at a tasting some time ago, but finally found the real thing - a 650 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with burnt orange hilights when held up to the light, a very rich and deep color. Appearance was just what I was expecting. 2 fingers worth of light brown head of creamy foam. Good head stability though it didn't quite last for the whole glass. Thin and sticky strands of lace were left on the side of my pint glass. It has some smell of roasted malts, some nuts and a touch of smokiness. No real hop or floral smells, more deep and earthy aromas. Smooth flavor with toasted grains, nuttiness, some caramel and more smoke. NO real bitterness to speak of, but not overly sweet either. The body might be a little thin, but if it was too much it would coat your mouth and become oily. I thought it was very drinkable and my big bottle disappeared too soon.

"What a lovely, rich colour this one has, along with a nice, foamy head. You can both smell and taste the malt, and the taste is has a slight hint of nut about it. Not a bad Nut Brown, but not the best I've had, either."
