"Pours gold with decent clarity and a dense, lasting head. Smells herbal, spicy, and, to the extent something can smell sour, sour. The flavor is funky, sour, delicious. Granny Smith's came to mind, making it a perfect sampler for a chilly, fall night. Light bodied, but not watery, with effervescent carbonation. "

"Sampled from bottle. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Sour cherries and some barnyard funk in the aroma. Vinous. The flavor is really incredible. Oak, white wine, tart apples. All the brett funk is there too. Really too complex to put into words. Medium-light body and highly carbonated. A must try."

"I tried this one at the 2008 Max's Belgian Beer Festival in Baltimore, MD. This is the first gueuze that I've ever had in my life, so as a big beer geek, this was a pretty momentous occasion for me.
So I've always wanted to try gueuze, but never wanted to spend the money on it when at the store because of all the other wonderful beers that are available. When I saw that gueuze was on the menu at Max's, I was pumped. This was my chance to get a sample, and if I didn't like it, it wouldn't hit me in the teeth to the tune of $10 - $15.
The gueuze poured a nice amber color with a little hint of a head. Not much carbonation here. It was almost wine like. The aroma that was oozing out of the glass was that of apple cider vinegar. I had a feeling this was somewhat typical of a gueuze.
Upon drinking it, I was hit with a dry, almost champagne like taste. There wasn't much going on in the flavor category. If anything it was an acidic sour, with maybe a hint of citrus. Not too bad.
Anyways, I give this one 7's across the board. Mainly because I don't know what to expect and maybe I need to try other types of gueuze to compare to this. You will probably see me revisit this review in the future once I figure out what this gueuze stuff is all about. I'll say this though, it's definitely interesting and if you haven't tried it yet, give it a whirl and see what you think."

"Pours a very hazy golden/orange color with a very thin head that quickly fades to a thin ring that leaves behind only traces of lace.
Smell; slightly fruity with apples and lemons, hints of funky barnyard smells, touches of vinegar and musty wood.
Taste; starts off slightly sweet, but quickly becomes sour/tart. There's sour apples and tart lemons, funky earthy farmhouse vinegar, yeasty and it has some woody oak flavors. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, acidic and on the dry side. This is my first gueuze, and I found it to be a very unique style, and due to it's tartness I would only be able to drink one in a night."

"Poured at the end of a BJCP class. Fruity, funky and spicy aroma coaxed up from my sample. Coating mouthfeel despite the apparent tartness and carbonation coupled with a dry finish. Tastes of spice, vineous character, leather, fruits. A very nice blended lambic, I'd hate to see these guys go."
