"I love hot stuff and have tried this beer repeatedly to try to 'like' it. (actually have purchased a case) I finally give up - more of a novelty than anything. The beer is a very deep gold in color with no head of any note. Aroma is all pepper and is what you'd expect from a 'pepper' beer. The flavor starts out as a mediocre lager then the pepper and the heat take over. The beer actually seems to make you more thirsty - anit-quenching. With that said, it's not horrible, but if you don't like hot peppers you will definitely not like this beer. Chances are that even if you like beer and hot stuff this combo won't win you over."

"While the concept is very appealing, and the underlying chili flavor is quite exhilirating the beer itself is about as wonderful as Keystone Light from a can. so much potential..."

"The bartender at Old Chicago bet me I couldn't drink the entire beer, so I accepted his offer and won. Was it worth it, NO!!!! This was the worst tasting beer I've ever had in my entire life. To be honest I thought it would be good; I like chiles, and I like beer. However, when chiles and beers are combined, we'll just say a part of me dies."

"Nasty pale yellow. Strong jalapeņo aroma with some nasty corn lager, too. Corn, jalapeņo flavor. Hot. Slightly sour. Even if you are madly in love with jalapeņo peppers, this is suspect stuff, because of the nastiness of the lager underneath and the sloppy flavor structure this liquid displays."

"Golden colour, absolutely no head whatsoever. Aroma is the one of jalapeņo. So far so good, as I quite like jalapeņos. Flavour is the same mixed with mud, and this is the point where the beer gets scaringly bad. Do not try this, unless you are a big fan of rotten jalapeņos or something. "
