The Board of The Cayman Islands Brewery Ltd includes Cayman businessmen
Mr A.L. Thompson, Mr Desmond Campbell and Mr Clifton Connolly. They are joined on the Board by overseas investors, Mr Robert Dory, Mr Stephen Webster & Mr John Otway, all of whom have a considerable track record in the beverage and brewing industries.
The Brewery’s general manager is Mr Allen Chu Fook. Mr Chu Fook joined the Brewery in March and brings with him over 40 years of brewing experience. He holds the distinguished position of currently serving the Master Brewers Association of the Americas in the role of Secretary/Treasurer of the Caribbean District as well as holding the post of Executive Director of the Caribbean Breweries Association.
The company has employed the services of Brewtech GmbH, a German consultancy firm that specialises in the design and construction of breweries and modernisation of existing plants. Brewtech GmbH assisted in the design and construction of the Cayman Islands Brewery and the development of our beer, Caybrew.
The new brewery is approximately 12,000 square feet and is located on a 3 acre site on Shamrock Road, Grand Cayman. Construction of the brewery was undertaken by Hadsphaltic International and project management of the building works undertaken by BCQS, both local Caymanian companies.
