This smooth, creamy stout and a crackling fireplace are the perfect answer to a wintry evening in Wisconsin. The rich coffee flavor compliments the "warm, fuzzy feeling" you get from the abundant alcohol. Seasonal Nov. - April.

"A dark black appearance with a dark beige head. Aroma is chocolate, malted milk balls, and some coffee. The flavor is rather sweet with some milk chocolate, oatmeal, and a hint of coffee. The finish is slightly bitter but mainly sweet.

"Pours black with airy, fading head. The aroma boasts coffee and licorice notes; alcohol is also evident in the nose. The flavor balances roasty against dark candy sweetness. I like my coffee with sugar so this stout works for me. Medium-bodied with pleasantly strong carbonation. "

"Sampled from bottle, thanks to pfoxyjohn. This stout is opaque with a thin, tan head. Caramel and mocha nose. A touch of bright fruit too. Bitter and dry with some alcohol present. Tart fruit flavor is bold. Full-bodied. A fine stout."

"Pours a deep dark brown colour with a full beige head. Decent lacing, excellent retention with noticeable nutty character and strong roasted malt aroma. Dark colombian roast coffee, caramel and a little bourbon perhaps in the flavor. All around very smooth, yet rich and satisfying brew."

"The nose is greeted with full sweet coffe aroma. A solid dark chocolate-brown body and a thin tan head. The mouthfeel is full and rich, as are the flavors; slightly sweet, well-roasted malts with cofee and chocolate flavors - delicious. A long, smooth finish with a touch of hop bitterness. Not much alcohol presence; a touch reserved for an impy, but it's a real pleasure to drink."
