"I'm not at all a coffee drinker, in all honesty I can't stand it, which made it so surprising that I enjoyed this porter so much. It's heavy body and rich flavour was carried very well. A shaded chestnut hue gave the otherwise black beer an attractive appearence. Coffee beans were very much predominant in the scent, though it did carry some complexity. Texture was fairly smooth as was the taste. I find many porters come across as stouts, but this had all the characteristics of a nice porter. I only had half a glass, my friend who finished off a pint said the beer became tedious and dull by the end. Guess that means you'll have to try it for yourself! "
