Brewery Description:
After being made redundant by Butcombe brewery in 2005 with 15 years service behind him, Cheddar Ales owner and brewer Jem Ham set about formulating his grand plan to set up a brewery that produced not only beers as good as those of his former employer but with hard work and commitment, beers that were even better.
Jem got a job as stand in Head Brewer at Wiltshire micro brewery, Ramsbury Brewery for a year and expanded on his brewing repertoire whilst at the same time being able to put all the plans in place for Cheddar Ales.
