"Brown 12 oz bottle in a big clear tumbler. Alarming alky ethanol olfactory, do I perhaps even smell some rubbing alcohol in there? Orangy colored iced tea appearance, looks very pretty with the sunset shining thru it, appears viscous and sparkling. Quite strong initial alky taste impressions. This is going to be a buzzy session. No lacing except a g-string. Coating without much carbonation. 2 bottles of this and yer done. Terrible, uness bitter beer, on style! heheheh s4L3f1t3o4"

"KSBF07. Pour was full ruby-brown, nice head and lacing. The aroma was rich malts, cedar type notes, toffee and caramel. The flavor was rich caramel and darker malts with toffee, cedar, vanilla, and roasted earthy hoppy finish. The hops on this thing were very balancing and enjoyable. Was surprised to see this rated so meh. Good stuff, CC!"

"This Barley Wine pours a deep orange color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty, hoppy and sweet. A medium bodied Barley Wine. Malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. Touch of melon. Hops are earthy and floral, assertive without being over the top. The hops and malts balance fairly well; still it’s a little more malty than hoppy. It does an excellent job of hiding the 11% alcohol. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. "
