"Pretty nice beer here. High in alcohol but also refreshing and dangerously drinkable. Deep amber-brown color with just a very thin, patchy head. The aroma is quite nice, wheaty malt, banana, vanilla with a spicy-mild alcoholic scent. Sharp and tangy flavors, bananas, cloves, dark fruits, with a spicy finish. This goes down very easily but don't let that fool you, the 10% abv is not a misprint. "

"Aroma is very fine with some ripened banana and dark plum with maybe some bubblegum and malty sweetness and very aromatic. Appearance is a muddled dark-brown to burgundy when held to the light with a medium-sized head on top that is light-brown in color and diminishes to a light lacing that adheres to the glass. Mouthfeel is full-bodied and smooth with some bock complexity as well as weizen balance with a palate is well-rounded. Flavor is of banana and malty sweetness with some faint taffy and slight roasty overtones with an aftertaste that is creamy and a finish that is full in flavor. Overall, a fine ale here for sure but does tend to get a little hot as it warms up with the alcohol becoming more evident and "pushy"...Recommended!"

"KSBF07 Poured a light brown with good head. Aroma was of toasted caramel, cloves some banana in there as well. Flavor was all the same with a nice hop bitter finish to it, went back for seconds on this one. Good beer."

"Aroma is quite strong - it almost bowled me over when I opened the bottle - very wheaty, with an odd rubbery hint. Pours a dark amber brown, much darker than other wheat beers I have sampled. Flavor is rich and mouth-filling, like a typical wheat beer but with a strong alcohol bite, as well as some hoppy undertone and again that weird rubbery hint - I trust they didn't mix old tires with the hops. ;-) But seriously. Other than that, the flavor is excellent. Hang Ten is smooth yet edgy, good for sipping and savoring."

"A very big disappointment. I love the Heavy Seas series and weizenbocks, so I was expecting big things. Pour was ruby amber pour with almost no head at all and no lacing. Aroma was candied caramel and phenols. The flavor was sickly sweet caramel and banana with a metallic sour aftertaste that was unpleasant. It didn't improve as it warmed. I'm so disappointed! Back to Victory Moonglow for my local weizenbock purchases."
