An interpretation of an American IPA, the beer uses approximately 3 pounds of hops per barrel and is triple hopped - in the kettle, in the hop back, and dry hopped! Burnished gold, with rich hop aroma and flavor, yet enormous drinkability. Available year round beginning November 2005.

"Bottle pour is clear ornage with a creamy white head that is very sticky and laces nicely. Aroma is a grassy malts and grapefruit. Tastes range from sweet malts, sweet like rock candy, to lemon peel and pinecone hopes. THis is a decent IPA. For sure, there a better out there, but this is certainly drinkable. I'd sample again - I'd like to try it on draft."

"Drank several of these at the wonderful Royal Mile Pub in Wheaton, MD. On draught, poured a hazy light copper with a substantial white head; good retention and lacing. Light grassy-piney aroma, smooth, lightly carbonated mouthfeel. Flavor was robust with slightly sweet malt and bitter hop flavor; well balanced. Very nice session beer."

"Pours a dirty orange color with slight carbonation and a moderate sized head that does taper away somewhat quickly. Floral, citrus hoppy aroma that is not crazy powerful but you know it's there. Hops dominate the flavor and while they are slightly bitter, they are more citrusy sweet with a touch of honey thrown in there. A very good beer that isn't far from being a great one. "

"Pours a dark orange-amber with a thick, fine-bubbled head. Aroma is very hoppy, almost piny, promising an exceptionally hoppy beer. Flavor delivers what the aroma promises - exceptionally hoppy, with an undertone like the scent of a pine tree. Texture is smooth and pleasant, and aftertaste has just a little hop bitterness in it. Recommended to all hop lovers."

"Full of hops for a really fresh and vaguely floral flavor. If there is ever a time when I want to have three beers with my friends and this is availableIt ... its what I get. It can get a little harder to finish off as the nite wears on. But if you enjoy lighter IPAs and this is around go for it. Its the best beer I have had that is brewed in MD. And my favorite in the "Heavy Seas" line."
