The beer is a dry Imperial Stout - creamy and rich with color as black as night. It has aromas of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, hints of molasses, toffee and caramel in the taste. Clipper City will produce only a small batch, so availability is extremely limited. IBU'S: 30 Malts: Crisp English Pale, Crisp Crystal, Chocolate and Roasted Barley Hops: Styrian Goldings, Fuggles Magnum and Amarillo

"Pours black with a nice thick tan head that does settle quickly to patches. The aroma is espresso, toasty malt, and molasses. For the most part the flavor follows suit, roasty, bitter coffee, a little creamy, notes of chocolate, molasses and caramel. The beer finishes somewhat empty and flat, not bad at all but leaves me trying to figure out what's missing. I think overall it's a little thin and light for an Imperial Stout. It's good enough and an easy drink, I don't want to give the wrong impression, but it's not a great beer. "

"Blew out the keg when this one was being poured at the Baltimore St. Grill in Cumberland, MD so I got it for free. Very dark, very chewy, and a very good aroma. The only problem that I had with this one is that the alcohol flavor was very prominent. I recommend this one if you love dark brews and are planning on getting totally ripped."

"This beer poured with a black body, not quite opaque topped off by a light tan colored head that left little to no lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma is coffee, sweet malts and light alcohol. The mouthfeel was medium bodied slightly smooth and very thin for the style. The flavor was mild with some nice creamy coffee and milk chocolate coming through but nothing really standing out or dominating."

"this beer pours a dark chocolate brown colour with a mocoa coco aroma and prevalent chocolate flavor. The lacing that is left is an attractive tree like ring around the glass. nice beer overall, mighty tastey, thanks to my friend Emilee!"

"Deep brown in color with a nice tan head. Fruity aroma. Not to roasty, not like a Russian Imperial Stout at all. Malty. Some roasty notes, but not much. Well made beer. Drinkable."
