Deep ruby brown, this robust style is a big mouthful with hints of coffee and rich roasted malt to the bitter end.

"Pours a thick, tan head, which slowly sinks
Very dense beer... some deep ruby mahogany tinges at the edges.
Rich, roasted malt aromas, some hint of smokey pipe-wood. Maybe some leafy vegetation. Earthy.
Deep, rich flavour.... wonderful complexity, hints of coffee milkshake, chewy malt. Even some gamey, blue-cheese notes, which weave into the richness of the flavour. Lovely combination.
Falls away a bit at the end, although a subtle back bitterness persists.
I would drink this with strong pungeant cheeses, or roasted red meats. A lovely beer.
