"just a touch on the thin side, so the overall mouthfeel leaves something to be wanted, but the flavor is great...heavily roasted (almost burnt)...solid overall, but room for improvement."

"A very good stout, but not a great stout. It appears very very black in a glass with a light brown bubbly hear. The aroma is dark fruits, roasted malt, plums, and figs. The flacour is coffee and chicoree. A good bitter finish."

"This one takes the cake when poured in a glass. It's so black it absorbs all light. Really can't see through it, which gets my attention! Head is creamy and thick, and hangs around till the end. When I envision a great beer being poured, this is the one I can see in my mind's eye.
Aroma is better than average - it has a yeasty, bready smell. Very gourmet-like. Mouthfeel is nice. It's not shallow, not overwhelming. Flavor is just right where it should be. Overall, it's an above average beer with awesome appearances. If we were going by looks, this one would be King. This is an easy replacement for Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout when I'm shopping. Do not pass this one by, and be sure to pour it in a glass for the full effect!

"Pours out in a dark brown colour, bordering to black with a small pale brown foam. Toasted malts, crackers, cocoa-powder and nuts in the aroma. Medium bodied with dry flavours of cocoa, dark unsweetened coffee and nuts. Medium-bitter finish of black coffee and nuts. "
