Coopers Ales and Stout are brewed using the centuries old top fermentation method and natural bottle conditioning. Resulting in a characteristic find sediment forming on the base of the bottle. This sediment is completely natural and can be gently mixed before drinking or poured carefully leaving the sediment in the bottle.

"For my Labor(er’s) Day festivities I chose to south to the continent down under. Oh sure there’s Foster’s but I was wondering while making a beer run, is there anything else the Aussies can brew? My first selection and I’m glad I didn’t pick the Foster. So too as I journey through the South American section of the beer aisles I avoid the Corona. Orange-yellow colored beer the body of which is occluded with sedimentation throughout. The frothy head is among the most robust I’ve seen so far. It has good hang time, settling slowly into a soapy ring. The aromas, light suggest lemon grassy hops. The mouthfeel is good and creamy. The taste is equally light and disappointing subtle in grassy hops. "

"Pours a deep, murky amber-yellow with sediment evident in a float, a medium head with some lacing. Very carbonated. Aromas very near a Belgian Ale with a slight citrus-orange, some peppery spiceness, sweet malts and very slight hops. Taste is smooth and slightly sweet with a orange maltiness and nice finish."

"A pleasurable beer in itself with many redeeming qualities. Fruity aroma with some calm hop notes, bitter and floral but too faint. Rich, light gold color with some intensely strong carbonation. A thick puffy white head that settles to 1" over time. Heavy lacing and a nice cloudy yeast haze. Creamy and filling on the palate yet lively and refreshing with a moderate bitterness. Herbal flavor that is both bitter and grassy. Peppery spice along with some citrus, nutty and biscuity as well. Solid live ale from the Aussies."

"375 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Bottle conditioned, sediment in bottle. In the first pour the beer is crystal clear golden, hazy in the final pour. Sparkling indeed, but when the initial huge head subsides a little, the carbonation in the glass is not too bad. Fruity aroma with notes of spices. The flavour is also fruity and moderately spicy. Alcohol is noticeable but not disturbing, the beer is fairly light bodied and easy drinking."
